I am passionate about video games. I have excellent organisation and creative problem-solving skills with a proven ability to work successfully both in teams and autonomously, communicate clearly and interact with a large variety of people. I approach situations with an open mind, always eager to learn and improve.

My ambition is to be part of a team that creates amazing entertainment and first-class user experience for players.


I am looking for work opportunities in level design to learn from and work closely with a broad array of experts. Having graduated in BSc Games Design at Bournemouth University with first class honours, I have experience using level editors such as Unreal Engine 4, Unity and game development software’s such as Maya.  My current Video Games QA Tester role at Universally Speaking has given me experience with industry standard bug databases such as Helix and has allowed me to work on AAA titles.

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE

Universally Speaking 

QA Tester

I am currently working for Universally Speaking testing a AAA title due to be released towards the end of the year. This role involves using industry standard bug databases such as Jira and Helix to write detailed bug reports. Checking that the bug has been properly fixed and implemented and communicating with developers ensures that all features of the game are properly tested and the user is left with the best experience possible.

Soft skills & Competencies

  • Communication skills: experience in creating clear and concise game design documents and video presentations for Game Design Principles unit as well as during the development of game design documents in solo projects. Verbal skills also developed throughout University when working on group projects and in game jams.

  • Organisation skills: developed when working on several projects at university simultaneously and when working part time at Waitrose while studying for my A-levels.

  • Creative problem-solving skills: when working on my Zombie Killer game, I encountered problems with AI coding which meant I had to learn more about Unreal Engines Blueprint in order to create a working Zombie AI. I decided to check online for documentations on the problem I was having and implemented my findings into the game.

  • Ability to work as part of a team and collaborate closely with level Designers, Animators, UI creators and narrative developers: demonstrated during 2021 BFX Game Jam and Game studio project where both projects were completed on time in an iterative manor and to a high standard.

  • Ability to work autonomously: demonstrated through the creation  of a fully functional wave based zombie survival game during the summer of 2021. Also demonstrated during the summer of 2020 when I developed the spaceship map I created from the game design document made for the level design fundamentals module. As well as this I am currently working on an action-adventure level in Unreal Engine 4.
